TDL’s 2026/27 STUDIO CALENDAr
important dates & studio closures
We want our students and parents to feel well-prepared for the year ahead, so below you will find a comprehensive list of all important dates and deadlines. ***NEW: subscribe to the TDL Google Calendar and automatically integrate all of the following dates onto your calendar!***
Please note that our ‘main location’ is 160 W. Park Ave, Long Beach (The Dance Loft) and our ‘satellite location’ is 75 E. Walnut Street, Long Beach (Professional Youth Theatre).
In regards to studio closures, for any religious holidays that we are open, observant students will be excused from class. We generally follow the Long Beach school district closings for snow days, but you will receive an email informing you of any inclement weather closings. Students are permitted to make up any classes that may be missed due to holiday closings, illness, or absence. Classes must be made up during the 2026/27 school year at TDL or our sister program, PYT. Make-up classes may be in a different genre from the student's original class but must be at the student's level. Please click here to schedule your child’s make-up class.***

Our 11th Annual Show & Tell – Mandatory for Competition Team
📍 PYT Ballroom Theater - 75 E. Walnut Street, Long Beach, NY
Show & Tell is an opportunity for all of our teams as well as our solos and duo/trios to perform for one another in preparation for our first competition of the season. We will be providing a short warm-up for all students at 4:30 PM and the Show & Tell will begin at 4:45 PM. Your children will be free to leave after they have performed all of their routines, but we do encourage them to stay in support of the other teams. We will release an exact schedule closer to the event. Students who normally have classes on this day are excused from their classes. Since this is a rehearsal to prepare for our first group competition and give our students a chance to perform in a large space, attendance is mandatory. We are also excited to have 'guest judges' who will be providing feedback to all of our teams. (To be clear, there will be no awards given out at this event; the 'judging' is purely to help the students get ready as they head into competition season.) Students are encouraged to invite guests to help give them a fun, supportive audience.
