THE DANCE LOFT was opened in 1984 by Willa Damien who studied at the School of American Ballet, the Julliard School and with Andre Eglevsky. She was a soloist with the Eglevsky Ballet Company before moving to Belgium where she appeared as a soloist with the Royal Opera of Ghent, the Ballet of Flanders of Antwerp and Bejarts Ballet of the 20th Century. Her teaching experience includes classes given at the Royal Opera of Ghent, Belgium, at her own studio in Ghent and at various schools on Long Island. Her students have continued on to the American School of Ballet, Joffrey's, Alvin Ailey and the Bolshoi School in Moscow.

Willa Damien - Director

Brooke Robyn Dairman, Brooke, master class instructor, is an accomplished professional dancer, musical theater actress, and choreographer. She has held leading roles regionally, Off-Broadway, and in national tours. Brooke recently choreographed the national tour of “All Shook Up”. BA with honors from U. Madelyn Lynch, Madelyn is an ACE-certified fitness professional who has been teaching private and group instruction for three years. She is cur-rently teaching Creative Dance and Combo Classes at the Dance Loft.

Nikki Rusica, Nikki has studied at Horizons, Oceanside Dance Center, and Broadway Dance in NYC. She has performed for the Town of Hemp-stead, the Belmont Fair, and has participated in numerous dance competitions. She has taught bal-let, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop at various studios on Long Island. She is currently pursuing early child-hood education at Nassau Community College.

Danielle Stallone, Danielle has been dancing for over 18 years. She has studied and competed at various studios on Long Island as well as at Broad-way Dance Center in NY. She graduated with hon-ors from Hofstra University and is pursuing her Masters at Queens College.

Deborah Woodhouse, Deborah has studied ballet with Thalia Mara, Lupe Surrano, and Michael Maule. She performed professionally with the Na-tional Academy (IL) as well as with the National Repertory Ballet Company (NY). She taught at the National Ballet Academy of Dance in Champlain, IL and the St. Petersburg School of Ballet (FL).
